Seriously, if it wasn't for the realities of everyday existance such as earning money and having a mortgage, I'd pack the cats in a van and be up there by the weekend.
No Schools on the island? seriously though are there schools worth keeping an eye on for vacancies either on the island or daily mainland commutable? (This sounds like I wouldn't wail if you two left Birmingham, I would, but am having a huge head thing going on about dream chasing and you seem to know your dreams well enough to be able to chase them)
Unfortunately, I know very little about the Scottish education system, and probably getting a job in that sector would be difficult with my limited expererience of Key Stage 3/4. I'm also not sure I would *want* to teach in a school again. I think a move would definitely require a career change.
