More ID card controversy

Bravo to Wandsworth Council

Will be interesting to see if other councils do the same thing.

Do you suppose it might be cheaper to get us all micro-chipped, instead of forking out stupid amounts for ID cards? ;-)

I wouldn't mind being chipped, so long as my vet did it. :)

I agree with it - I would also bring back the licence, and the licencing of breeders.

Absolutely. I think if you can afford a dog, there can't be an excuse about affording a licence. I'd be more than happy to have compulsary chipping for all domestic animals - or at least those over a certain size, as I don't think the rats would appreciate it.

it just makes sense. Anything that might make people think twice about the responsibilities of owning an animal.

Absaolutely with you on the registration of breeders too.

All 3 of our cats are chipped but it made no difference when one of them was stolen by the mad bag cat lady. /miserable . Didn't seem to matter that we wanted to be responsible. Only offered as the flip side. The chips will make a difference when the police/council want to find you but not the other way round. Good show by WCouncil though.
