- boots:
I own a few pairs of boots. Hardly any in fact. - cycling:
This is a bit of a cheat, as I haven't done any serious cycling for over a year now, due to renovations in the PE (and shower) block at work. Cycling 7 and a half miles to discover the showers are out of order and your towel's disappeared isn't good. We cycled half way round Rousay one morning in Orkney, and that was good fun. - french horn:
This is another cheat, I think, seeing as the thing hasn't been out of its case over the summer. I was a reasonable horn player at school - never took an Associated Board exam past Grade 6, but it was my first instrument so I was playing Grade 8 stuff for the practical part of my Music A Level. I took it up again just over a year ago, and although it was easy enough to get into the swing of it, I think it might just be another stress, rather than an *interest*... - harry potter:
No surprise there... - linguistics:
I just wish the Language students were half as interested...My background is in Literature rather than Language though - although English at Leeds did involve some linguistic study. I became more interested in linguistics when I started teaching. - opera:
I think I saw my first opera when I was about 17. I think Mozart's Figaro is my favourite. - radio 4:
There's nothing like the dulcet tones of Jogn Humphries to wake you up in the morning... - stationery:
So, I'm a teacher. - vegetarianism:
Again, a bit of a cheat, as I do regard vegetarians as half-arsed hypocritical cheese-eating sellout monkeys, but there you go. - writing.:
Pretty self-explanatory. Although I seem to be way behind everyone else on the writing a novel front.
