Me too and I hate them. I wish they wouldn't do it. The people those adverts truly affect are the ones who mostly already give and already care - whereas the ones who exact such cruel punishment on animals will find that type of ad amusing. I've lost count of the times I've sat and cried at those bastard adverts and now they just get turned off.
I think there's a large majority of people of 'animal lovers' who don't actually take much notice unless this sort of thing gets shoved down their throats, and I have nothing against charities using dirty tricks in order to get money out of people. I'd be delighted if the BBC could broadcast a weekly programme called 'Pet Slaughter' in which the British public are forced to watch unwanted animals being put down. Just wish I didn't get suckered so much.
