He was spending his autumn years in Bradford, ya know. I often used to wander down on Sunday afternoons to The National Museum of Film and Photography and exchange smalltalk with the most important, the most beautiful, the most magical, saggy old cloth cat in the whole wide world...
When I was about 12, me and my friend would reminisce about cool TV from our childhood and came to the conclusion that Bagpuss rocked. To honour his contribution to our development, and because we couldn't remember the title music, we composed a tune for him which consisted of us shouting "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAGPUSS!" over and over really loud and enthusiastically.
Not sure what point I was trying to make here, but I just remembered this, it tickled me and I thought I ought to share.... ;P
