Wow. That's stunning, and reminds me of some of the places my family had in Scotland when I was young. Where did you go, and how did you book it?

We stayed at Shady Neuk (see http://www.orkney.com/shadyneuk/Homepage). Just outside Dounby. Booked direct with Melvin from ad in Visit Orkney brochure (http://www.visitorkney.com - you can see the accomodation online in pdf format there).

Orkney feels far more remote than Scotland - in fact spending a coupole of days in the highlands coming back home was spoilt by not being Orkney.
