*sigh*

[livejournal.com profile] lupercal is on nights this week.

Generally, this sucks - as I get home from work, we have dinner, and then he has to go out - leaving me (Cue Celine Dion) All by myseyeyeyelf...

Tonight, however, it is even worse, as the bedding is currently in the wash and I have to try and get the duvet back in its cover before I go to bed. Chiz, curses.

This is a serious problem, gentle reader, as a duvet cover is an item which I find not only obstreperous, but extremely hazadous. On one occasion I found myself trapped inside for several minutes. Indeed, if Willow hadn't ventured in with a small lantern attached to his collar and a piece of string then I could well have died.

Chiz curses indeed. One of life's worse parts is inserting duvets into duvet covers. I cannot understand why nobody has invented a duvet cover that zips around three edges ...

My personal duvet cover trick involves the stairs. i.e. shaking the duvet with cover over the bannister holding appropriate places.

on a random note, if you want those shades back they can be posted in squashy envelope. All I need is your address and they will wing their way to you tomorrow....:-)

I know kindof how you feel. :/

Jo's shifts can be anything from 7am until 10pm, so my life has realigned itself to her work pattern, so I'm either up really early in the morning and spend the evening collapsed, too tired to do anything, or I'm kicking about the house on my own, waiting for her to come home some time after 10. At which point we generally collapse, too tired to do anything. It can be a complete arse!

And as you've mentioned, there are some things that just arent the same when done by yourself. ;p
