The Straight Story
Apr. 1st, 2007 07:17 pmJust caught the end of it on Film 4 - had forgotten just what a good film it was. I'm afraid I'm not a big fan of David Lynch, but this is wonderful.
What I didn't know was that Richard Farnsworth was terminally ill with cancer when he filmed this, and committed suicide the following year. Makes it a very poignant story.
Oh - ff you get Film 4, and you're home in time for a quarter past five on Wednesday, A Matter of Life and Death is on. Definitely one to watch.
