Some people just ain't host material, eh?

I nip up the road to visit [livejournal.com profile] eddy_, and am sitting out in the back garden with him and Jo, and [livejournal.com profile] kneeshooter, when plans to go head to The Red Lion are discussed. [livejournal.com profile] eddy_'s faffing around with his sauce inside, so whilst he's doing so [livejournal.com profile] kneeshooter and I discuss Greek tragedy and wait. And wait. And wait...

Eventually we discover -

everyone has fecked off down the pub

Yes, gentle reader! The buggers have fecked off out of the front door leaving us sat in the back garden waiting for them! The outrage!

I only discover this when after 10 minutes I send a text to [livejournal.com profile] eddy_ asking where he is, as he appears to have disappeared.

Can goths not count??? Do we look so alike that nobody noticed one of them is missing?

Jheez! Just as well I had my washing to do and Freecell loaded up, or I'd be having a really sad loser night!

Ah...er...

Today I have, with some measure of success, been out tackling the garden again. As well as doing battle with the hedge and grass (*why* must these things keep *growing*???) I have also been out and bought: all the cat food in the world; all the rat food in the world; a lot of cat litter; a tripod for my camera, as I want to experiment with longer exposures; and a Slendertone 'Gymbody' abdominal toning belt, so I can spend time doing cadio in the gym and not waste time doing situps - in theory at any rate. I am in fact, gentle reader, wearing it as I type this, and grimmacing slightly, at 5 second intervals. I'm trying to ignore the fact that I havne't been to the gym today, or at least jusify it to myself that gardening = workout.

[livejournal.com profile] lupercal is off to see Jesus Jones tonight (for those of you under the age of 28, they were a poular 90s indie combo), but having had such a productive day so far, my current project is to wash the cat wee out of the picnic blanket, and then I'm going to clean some rats.

I should also tidy the bedroom, so that <"kneeshooter"> doesn't drown in tat when he comes to catsit...

I got my new chequbook today! How good are Smile?

You have no *idea*, gentle reader, just how cat fur has accrued under my bed...

I'm vacuuming [livejournal.com profile] kneeshooter; I'm even vacuuming under the bed! (I'm not absolutely sure on that one - think I got carried away...)

Quarter of an hour too late to discover we're out of softener...unless I drive to the 24 hour Tesco in Solihull, that is!
