*sigh*

I need to write a cheque. Actually, I need to write *two* cheques today. Normally there wouldn't be a problem with that as I'd just grab my chequebook and write them. Unfortunately, not long ago, I was sent a new chequebook, and my old chequebook has run out. I've spent the last 30 minutes searching *everywhere* I could have possibky put the new chequebook, but to no avail.

I'm going to have one last search, then give up and use my ridiculously expensive credit card cheques.

Is it just me that loses things, or do other people out there have this problem too?

There is *no possible physical place* that my chequebook can be.

So do I cancel it now, or have another look this afternoon?

The only possibly thing I can think of is that's it's been thrown away by mistake.

I desperately want to find it; apart from the cheques I need to write today, I need it for Orkney, and I don't think a new one will arrive in time.

Chiz, curses.

Just had two phone calls asking if I was caught up in the tornedo or whatever it is.

Although I live just down the road from Kings Heath High Street, I was utterly unaware of it until someone mentioned it on LJ, so am fine. :)

Hope other Kings Heath reprobates are in a similar situation.

I have a table, at which we have eaten for the past two evenings. The fact that I am excited about this is a very sad omen.

I have not got involved with things that don't involve me, even though I've got that *urge* to say something; I have refrained from doing so. This probably makes me a better person. And I'm not even going to blame the desire to interfere on self-esteem issues. There again, I hold the same opinion of people with self-esteem issues as Dylan Moran has on unlocking your self-potential...

[livejournal.com profile] lupercal denies ever having seen my chequebook. I'm not absolutely sure I believe him, and suspect I may well find it squirelled away somewhere this weekend, but I've phoned the bank and got a new one. Five working days, so should have it for Orkney. My bank (go there and bank now) is filled with wonderful customer service cally people who are utterly *luverly* and don't make you feel like an idiot at all. The last time I phoned, I had a great conversation with a nice man who asked me my 'Place of birth' question. (He was from Crosby). I actually couldn't give higher recommendation for a bank though, than Smile.

In other news, several things have happened recently, where I've though 'Eh?' or 'Whaaa?' or 'I didn't have a clue!'

So bearing in mind I see nobody, so am utterly unlikely to spread it any further, go on - tell me something juicy about yourself.
