What wasn't good about yesterday was managing to slam my hand in the window at work when trying to close it last night - you know, one of those heavy institutional vertical round the central axis windows? Exactly how I achieved this monumental feat of clumsiness I'm not sure, but it hurt. Big old slam trying to get it to close properly. And the student teacher was in with me at the time, so I had to pretend I hadn't actually slammed my hand in the window at all, which made it hurt more. It still hurts today, and it's a bit bruised and swollen, but nothing broken.
Maybe I need to try again, harder, but make sure it's my marking hand next time...
And another top tip. If you're trying to change a lightbulb, you're best not to stand on one of those chairs that can spin round...
