Moderation...
Jan. 6th, 2004 06:00 pm...sounds like such a reasonable term. Unless it in fact refers to that purgatory which is the cross-marking and standardisation of coursework folders. Seven hours of it.
Of course, there are the small things that lighten a few minutes of the tedium. A couple of my favourites today were -
I hid the dictaphone in a fruit bowel
and
I wanted to look at mixed gender conversation in a pubic place
I'm now hungry. The first problem is that I have no food except Co-op instant mash. The second problem is no clean crockery. It was only when I was feeding Willow that I thought to myself:
"Hang on - Willow's got that bowl that he won in the hamper that he hasn't used yet..."
Mein Gott! Is this what I'm reduced to? Eating instant mash out of the cat's bowl?
They never showed me this in that 'Teaching as a Career' video...
